Saw the dietitian last week.

The dietitian felt that Aidan's growth was really good and reduced his calories from 24 to 22. This means we no longer have to use special mixing instructions for the formula or fortify the breast milk.  The reduction in calories has helped with increasing his volume.  He has always been a light eater and never seems to eat as much per day as they say he should.  They want him to eat between 20 and 24 oz.  He only eats between 17 and 19 oz.  

She also said we can start solids in 2 weeks.  That sounds fun until you think about what the diaper changes are going to be like.  If you didn't already know, he is a cloth diaper baby.  So not going to be fun.

Practicing how to sit without the infant support seat.  He definitely prefers this to tummy time.

He likes the high chair because he can play in the kitchen close to mom.

It has taken a while, but, he finally learned how to get the binky in his mouth.

Hurray for Sleep! Yippee!

Finally, after 7 long months, Aidan is starting to sleep through the night. Which meeeans, mommy and daddy get to sleep through the night. We have also moved Aidan to his own bed. As much as I like to snuggle, I also like to have room to sleep. It's amazing how much space such a small child needs for sleeping.



Aidan still needs to sleep on an incline because he is having massive spit up episodes, like, the entire bottle. However, as you can see from this picture, he manages to wiggles his way down the wedge and ends up sleeping flat anyway. Oh well, we try.




This has now become his new favorite toy. I like to put him up on the table when I'm busy in the kitchen. He loves it up there because he can see out the windows and watch me at the same time.


Daddy's favorite way to work.


We took Aidan for a walk at the wildlife refuge near our house. He really likes being outside.

I've been working really hard to get a giggle on film.

Aidan just learned how to blow bubbles and spit. Now he does it all the time.

Sit n'Play

This week Aidan is finally able to control his head enough to sit in the baby support seat and play. I am super excited about this because I would really like to get him off the floor and off the back of his head. He seems to really enjoy seeing the world from this perspective.

Fun Times

Aidan's least favorite time of day is tummy time. However he is slowly getting better. We purchased this special inclined tummy mat that he seems to do better with.































This is a video of the first tummy time that he didn't cry. He actually gives a little smile.
