First weekend away, First bike ride.

Daddy did the Reach The Beach ride on Saturday, May 16.  It was a one way ride so Aidan and Mommy drove the personal sag wagon.  Our wonderful friends, Dave and Mary Ann, offered us their house in Pacific City for the weekend.  Thank you so so much.  We had a great time.  This was Aidan's first weekend away from home.  It was so nice to have a place to take him for naps and feedings while dad was still out riding.

Aidan and I met daddy at one of the rest stops.

Aidan enjoying the beach from the comfort of his chariot.

Sand.  Ugh.

Just relaxing at the coffee shop before driving home.

Aidan's doing a little ab work trying to sit up.

We took Aidan to a park last weekend for is first bike ride.

We had to use a neck pillow because his head falls forward when he falls asleep.

Snack break.

Oooo, grass.

Tummy time is getting better.

There isn't much to report for this week.  We have been working on rolling over and tummy time.  Aidan has gotten a little better about playing with toys on the floor so tummy time isn't as bad as it once was.  Though, still not his favorite.

This is supposed to be a picture of Aidan in a baseball cap.  It looks more like an elf hat to me.
Aidan got a new toy for this tummy time.  It held his interest for a while.

This was so funny.  He played with this toy for like half an hour.  He liked the sound of the chime.

Just Another Ordinary Week

This week was just an average week in the life of Aidan.  Our nurse came over to weigh and measure him.  He now weighs 14.5 lbs, is 24.5 inches long, and head is 42 cm.  Below are just a few photos from the week.

Aidan with his favorite chewy toy. Naanaanaa!

Just walking around the house in the moby wrap.
Nap time.  Mommy's favorite time of day.
Just hangin out with daddy on the floor.
Aidan enjoying all of his toys, at the same time.

Playing With Food

We are full of adventure this week.  Some successful, some not so successful.

Last Friday was the first Lumberjax Lacrosse playoff game.  We couldn't get a sitter so we had considered taking Aidan with us.  We were concerned about his hearing and how loud it would be in the Rose Garden,  so we got ear protectors.  Boy, he did not like them.  I could immediately see that this just wasn't going to work out.  Those things were so heavy, he was unable to hold his head up.  They also squeezed his little chubby cheeks so that he looked like a Campbell's kid.  In the end, I stayed home and Rick went to the game with a friend.  Aidan doesn't do well with a lot of people around so it was probably for the best.

More giggles.

Tummy time with daddy.

This week we ventured into the wonderful world of solid foods.  Although, any mom can see that there isn't anything solid about first foods.  The cereal we mixed was 75% water and the sweet potatoes we fed him today were runnier than his formula.  We are pretty sure he liked the sweet potatoes better than the cereal.  That stuff has absolutely no flavor.

"Ok, I'm ready."
"Here it comes."
"What is this?"

"I can't get this stuff off of my tongue."
