October 31, 2008: Day 61 (Week 37, home by this time tomorrow!!!)

We spent the day taking care of stuff we need before we take Aidan home:

- This morning, the hospital delivered the home oxygen tanks.
- This afternoon, we spent 2 hours getting trained on the heart and apnea monitor that we will have Aidan on while he's on oxygen.
- Aidan had pictures taken.
- Denyse and I took an infant CPR class

Aidan also got an immunization against Respiratory Syncytial Virus Infection (RSV). He was not feeling too well this afternoon. He didn't eat as much as usual today, and probably because of this, he didn't gain any weight. So he is still 2410 grams (5 lbs 5.0 oz).

Our plan for tomorrow is to sleep in a little, and then come to the NICU some time after noon. The portable oxygen people are meeting us at the NICU at 2pm, and we should be discharged sometime after 3-4pm.

Pictures from today:

Isn't he adorable:

Nurse Barb dressed Aidan in his Halloween outfit:

Thanks for the bib Grandma Anita.

For dinner tonight, we ate out for the last time for the next few months...

Tune in tomorrow for pictures and videos of Aidan's big day!
