September 15, 2008: 2 Weeks Old Today!

Aidan is now 2 weeks old!! Today he gained 10 grams and is now 2 lbs 2.2 oz This is really good considering he had 2 (yes 2) massive dirty diapers just before the weighing. He lost at least 30 grams in these diapers. (I considered posting pictures of these, but thought better of it).

Aidan had a really good evening, and had the most stable oxygen saturation numbers we've seen in days. You could see he was having some reflux (heartburn) from burping up food, but he was very stable, and was able to be on room air for much of the time. Denyse held him for a full 2 hours and he did great. Afterwards, and 10pm, the RT removed all his CPAP gear for the every-six-hours airway cleaning (think vacuuming the nose):
