September 4, 2008: Day 4 (Held Aidan for the very first time)

Today was a big day. They removed Aidan's umbilical cord IV catheter, so Denyse got to hold Aidan for the very first time. It was short (only 45 minutes), but it was very special.

Aidan did very well with his oxygen today. He was on room air for most of the day, and they lowered his CPAP setting from 6 to 5.

Aidan now weighs 1 lb 11.1 oz. He is still losing weight, but the rate is definitely slowing.
